How to Seal Your Art Journal Pages

Hello lovelies,
I have a new video for you
'Ways to Seal Your Art Journal Pages'

it's just a little faq/fyi/show-n-tell sorta video
to help clear up the question 'how to I seal/prevent sticky pages'
in which I give away my secret weapon for super-fab sealed pages =)
Enjoy beautiful xoxo

  1. Thanks for the tip! I always enjoy watching your videos. Lately I've been using Minwax Polycrylic varnish in satin. (I got the idea from Christy Sobolewski.)It can be found in the hardware store. It does give a little shine, but I haven't had any problems with pages sticking. I've used Liquitex clear gesso before, but I don't like the grainy feeling it has.

  2. Thanks Jennibellie for this great tip. I would have never thought of it. Makes good sense. Love to watch your videos and I am so glad that you are out of your funk.

  3. thanks for the tips. I usually use a Micador matte spray varnish or fixative depending on the elements I've used.

  4. That was one of my Questions, Thanks for the tip, I will be trying this next time on my paint project. Very well done.

  5. I was wondering this myself just last night. I opened an art journal I worked on a few weeks ago and several of my pages were coming apart. :( I use a glue stick as well. I didn't realize they wouldn't stay down forever. So this is a great tip for me! Now off to the art supply store in my area to see if they have the clear Gesso!

  6. Thank you Jenny for this timely tip! I've used hairspray before as a fixative in my journals, it is excellent for preserving flowers or leaves. Yes, I wrestled with the stickiness of pages when using other adhesives so your tip is perfect! Thanks again for the video and for the inspiration.

  7. Thanks for the great tip, I have historically used gel medium....I will have to try the clear gesso now! Thanks for all of your great tutorials. They are very thorough and encourage my altered art creative side.
