Hey guys I thought I would share some mandatory holiday art & snaps lol I'm still too sick at the mo to produce any artwork, so I thought I'd share some journal pages from my hol along with a few pics:
I have managed to make a video since being home, though I'm afraid it's not as fine-tuned as it might have been if I were well, but it still shows how I journal when I go on holiday, as well as Venice itself and you'll get to see a few more journal pages there:
On a final note our latest featured artist on TAT, Wendy Juhl, wanted me to thank you guys for the supportive comments on her interview ~ she's having a few technical difficulties so asked me to pass on the message so thank you =) the mutual support for one another is one of the (many*) wonderful things I love about our art community =D
(*...actually we're just damn all round awesome aren't we?? *grin* lol)
Wow! Thanks for sharing those lovely images of Venice with us. Your travel pallets worked a treat. I see you also took other bits and bobs with you for your jounaling, you are soooo organised.
Here's a big, huge get-well-soon hug :) Thank you for posting your trip vids (did you get the Murano glass pen?) and tutorials (the colour palette idea was brilliant!). <3
Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. Sick or not - you make great videos. I loved watching and seeing parts of Venice. Such a wonderful treat for someone who has never been. I love the parts that were sped up with the people all walking by. :) Oh, and that little Polaroid printer - LOVE! Take care of yourself!! xxoo
Just watched your excellent video and loved the timelapse bits. It captures Venice perfectly and makes me want to go back even more. Shame about the 'flu, but I bet it was well worth it. Can't believe you found all those paper/handmade book shops - I only found one and that was before I even thought about making one of my own - you must have done your research well before you went. Look forward to seeing the full flip journal. Thanks for sharing your fab holiday. Ann B xx
I'm so sorry you're still feeling bad, that's no way to end a vacation. I did love seeing the pics of both Venice and your travel journal though, both look stunning! And yes, we're all awesome, of course we are! ;-)
I am glad you got to "get away" and just relax and enjoy. We need to do the "get away thing" as much as work allows. Great pics and journaling. Barb North Carolina
So sorry you're still sick Jenny, hope you feel better soon, but that video is awesome! How did the travel kit work out for you? Did your travel palette last? Have everything you needed? Would you make any changes now you've travelled with it and tried it out?
Beautiful holiday snaps - very envious. Looks like you've had fun using your journal. I so enjoyed your videos about your travel kit, your journal and your colour palettes. Hope you feel better really soon.
That video is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing...I loved it! Everything you do is so inspiring. It was such a great idea to set up your travel journal with everything you need-I really admire how you would come back to the hotel and put everything together while it was still fresh! I can't wait to see the details of your travel journal! Take care of yourself!
Thanks so much for this amazing video. I was in Venice once...18 years ago...ouch!...and this was a such a great opportunity to visit again vicariously through you. I enjoyed wathing you create your art while on vacation. You have reminded me to take my Pogo printer with me on an upcoming trip!
