Nowadays I tend to create one journal page
start to finish – whether it takes me 5 minutes or a week, I will just enjoy adding whatever I like to that one page and watching
how it develops, as you may have seen in my regular art journal page processes, like this one for example:
So I thought I would take up
the challenge to show a few techniques for cleaner looking backgrounds like these below
& include lots of information on how I develop a page too:
...and in case you're wondering, the snowman got it today :(
I only made him yesterday as a friend for Sweepiebum but overnight nearly all the snow has gone, incredible when you consider how deep the snow was (just look how far Sweepie's legs are sunken) aww well I'll buy him a new toy when I'm next in town instead lol
Thanks for visiting, much love Jennibellie xoxo

ReplyDeleteHello, I am never sure where to post these but I want you to know I have nominated your blog for The Versatile Bloggers Award. Should you choose to accept, I would be happy, and you can find guidelines on my post Woohoo!! The Versatle Blogger Award! http://correnadotme.wordpress.com/2013/01/31/woohoo-the-versatle-blogger-award/ .
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog the other day and I am so, so, happy to find someone that is so down to earth with your art journaling. I make cards and have joined card challenges, only to be discouraged many times, not becuase I didn't win, I don't care about that, but I see so many cards made with fancy equipment and such, that I just cannot afford and there are so many of them that just look so perfect and I love to do more natural stuff, so I have backed off of the challenges because they make me feel discouraged. Anyway, I am so new to art journaling and I absolutely love it, and when I came across your blog, I fell in love with the way your journals are done, and you also have made me realize that I should just be myself and do my own style, whether or not I have what everyone else has or not. I don't need the extra equipment when I can use what I have already and make something beautiful from that. Thank you, even tho you don't know me, you have changed my thinking about my own art. I have watched a couple of your videos and want to watch them all!, and will in time!!!! Thank you again. Have a great day!
